Garden Space: A Lush and Welcoming Office Design

Transforming a Cold Space into a Floral Haven

This 230-square-meter office space, located in Taiwan, was transformed from a 30-year-old cold and open space into a vibrant and welcoming environment. The designer, Idan Chiang, drew inspiration from the company's clientele, predominantly women, to create a space that exudes warmth and beauty.

The Garden Space design incorporates elements of nature throughout the office, with spring greens, flowers, and cherry blossoms breathing life into the space. The integration of these natural elements not only adds visual appeal but also promotes a sense of well-being and connection to nature.

The office layout is divided into different areas, including a reception area, an office area with 10 workspaces, a kitchen, a meeting room, a garage, and an upstairs yoga studio and lounge area. The central sitting area features comfortable sofas set on white marble honeycomb tiles, surrounded by pentagonal solid marble cocktail tables. This space serves as a gathering spot for fireside chats and sharing of ideas.

The design seamlessly blends old and new elements, with rough white painted brick walls and polished concrete floors contrasting the modern white brass-trimmed counters. The bathroom features striking black hexagonal tiles and pendant lighting, creating a sense of continuity throughout the space.

Idan Chiang's Garden Space design not only prioritizes aesthetics but also functionality. The open kitchen and large central island provide flexibility for socializing and relaxation, while the office area and meeting room offer dedicated spaces for work and collaboration.

This exceptional office design has been recognized for its creativity and ingenuity, receiving the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2021. The Garden Space design showcases the integration of art, science, design, and technology, contributing to an improved quality of life for its users.
